Breast Cancer- Incidence & Epidemiology
The incidence of breast cancer in U.S. women is about 1 in 8 i.e., about 12% which develops over the course of her life time. It is estimated that 252,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 63,410 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S.
Epidemiology of breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women, with approximately 182,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer annually in the United States, accounting for approximately 26% of all incident cancer among women. the life time risk of dying of breast cancer is approximately 3.4%.
